I see the numbers increasing :) If your new, post up some info about yourself, what you have, what you are looking for, what you dream of.

I believe most of the members that are signing up are spam bots, a lot of them haven't activated their accounts by going to their e-mail.. If they start spamming, there IPs will be banned and accounts deleted..

Thats what I believe Adam. If you look at the members list, their names are so long and spelled weird you can't even pronounce their user name.

That and all of there e-mail addresses are a .cn at the end.. I'm surprised they haven't tried to spam up the board. I may have to set it up to where i have to ok accounts to complete registration, but I think it's a little to early for that. I wonder where are they all coming from, I'm guessing youtube, becuase i did post there on some old stereo videos...

Huh, I didn't realize that. But they are some strang names :). I have PM'd folks on svereal boards. But don't see any names I recognise.

I also did a search with the emails they sign up with and all searches lead to forum spammer lists.

it's about right.. I just added spam control to the forums, which makes it harder for bots to sign up, most of the users that register should be actual humans..

I'm glad now that we actually have real people now joining. No more of them bots!
But to say again as I have in past posts, join the new forum if you are a guest and looking at this thread!
And you new members that have joined recently, start posting and tell your friends about the site.

Theirs gotta be a way to figure out how to get new members to join the new forum.
But, I have to say, DON"T promote the new forum on existing forums like AK. You don't want to get banned or anything.
Maybe their are some other sites we can promote the new forum?
Anybody have any ideas?

I've tried other sites, but its going to take the search engines to bring people in.. This could take at least 6 months, But before then, we should have some more active members..

It takes at least that long for Google and the other search engines to fully add the site to the search engines....

It will happen, it just takes time. The challenge is to find the right promotion. AK, Tapeheads, and forums like that have rules relating to promoting other forums. I have PM'd folks but have not seen them here. But in time, people will come.
