Since everyone loves posting pictures and looking at pictures and showing off their stuff, lets see your Pioneer gear.:D

Here is my Pioneer SX-3700, made from 1979-1980. Its 45wpc and has the beautiful blue glow.

More of mine later:cool: What do you have?

They are some well made stuff :) I saw an SX-3500 at a thrift a few months back but the SO kinda gave me a dirty look so I passed.

I don't have any Pioneer gear, but hopefully soon I may be gettin a SX-1250. If the guy will sell it when he decides to sell it.

I just bought an Pioneer SX-1250 for $375 I guess it was a good deal, I got it locally off craigslist, and had to drive about 60 miles to get it. The thing is beautiful with not hardly any scratches on it. I'm hoping a SX-1980 and/or a Marantz 2600 will come my way one of these days.

Good Deal? You got a very good deal on that SX-1250!

They usually sell for between $400 and $800 in good condition, if not more because I've seen them go for more.

But that is just a ball park so.

Yeah, that is a real good deal. Adam. I have tried a few times on CL to pick up an SX-1250 or SX-1280 but its all about timing, which sometimes I have, and others I don't. Do you have a picture of yours?

I don't have a picture of it yet.. I probably will take some eventually..

I've got a SX-1010 as my main unit in the living room, an SX-535 in the Bedroom hooked up to the DVD player, and a SX-790 in my workshop in the basement. I got all either thru CL or Value Village. Also a Pl-25 Idler Drive TT, a PL-200 Direct drive, and a CT-650 being worked on.

That doesn't include the BPC VSX-456, CTW-205, DT-440, PD-M403 my wife bought for me from Finger Hut in 1995. The only thing I'm using out of all that is the DT-440 in the living room.

That's too funny, you must find some great stuff on craigslist.. From time to time some great things show up inmy area. A guy was selling his whole system for $150 including a Kenwood KR-8010. I wanted it, but he wanted to sell it all, and was gone the day he posted the ad, he could have gotten at least $500 for everything, but he wanted to clear out the garage for Hurricane season

Just to let you all know, you don't have to click that annoying button anymore when quick replying.

You should have gotten that whole system Adam! I mean the KR-8010 would have sold for at least $250 or $300!

And thanks for letting us know about not having to click that button anymore.

They sound pretty good on my Fisher 800C. Very efficient, easy to listen to. I think they could benefit from a recap of the crossover, it's pretty complicated, not to mention 35 years old. I haven't heard many speakers, but the only thing I've liked better is my EPI 100's.

I recapped some KLH Model Seventeens last spring. I was very worried about doing it but it sounds great. Fortunately there was some great instructions and the crossovers were not complicated. I will be doing a recap of my Smaller Advent Loudspeakers this fall and also some Altec Lansing 886A's to see if this will help them. Those Pioneers are sharp so I need to keep my eyes open for those (Much to the SO's delight I'm sure :D )

My next Pioneer piece:

PL-500 Direct Drive full auto turntable. Made in the late 70's early 80s it actually is a very nice performing table

I agree Adam, a turntable category would be good with the current resurgence of vinyl

Very nice gear. There was a QX-9900 at a local thrift. The price was much higher than I was willing to go but it looked great. I like the look of the CT-F650 with its flouroscan meters.

I'm building a cabinet to put some of my Pioneer stuff in.
Nothing I could find pre-made was big enough, and a rack system is not an option for me. Here is a start of some pictures. I'll add more soon.
By the way I have been making some wallpaper (with Pioneer logo and symbol)
as I couldn't find any thing really to my liking.... Any one else here make wallpaper of pioneer designs/logos etc?
