For Valentines day, the GF got me this cool Sony TC-378 R2R. It powers on but there is no movement. I will take it apart on my next day off and have a look, but I figure belts at the very least. She is sucha great girl:)

nice! it wouldn't have to work for me to enjoy it..........I could just stare at it and wipe off the finger prints for days:D

It came with that tape sitting in it. It is pretty sharp to look at. The silver face is super clean with no scratchs. I cain't wait to fire it up

I love it... I'm sure you'll get it going, belts, capstans, etc. are pretty easy to find

I took it all apart, and still could find a fixable problem. It appears the brake is dragging. I put it back together cuz I was going to be out of town for awhile and had several screws left over:( Time to open her back up again

you wouldn't believe how much I've wanted one of those things. If it's cosmetically acceptable, you'll work out the other things..
Out of all the wonderful, electro mechanical toys in the audio world, these are probably the most beautiful and the most fun.:D
