There was a bad clatter after stylus touch-dow

there was a lot of old gummy gease in the heart shaped cam under the drive gear......cleaned it up and it helped some but was still bad...........
Found out that the main gear was not centering in the void area after the start 1/2 revolution and the drive gear was hitting the last tooth on the main gear........good thing the nylon was still soft and resilient after 30 years:)

The culprit was a nylon foot that caused the main gear to not finish its 1/2 revolution to 'center'.

cleaned the packed, hardened grease off its' shaft and gave it a shot of plastic safe CRC Lube and all is quiet! Chuck
