..........and, speaking of new keyboards, I'm listening to this dude, Gary Lamb (Distant Fields) who is quite good at them. It's New Age, of course, and not that great, but thought it was time to get the thread back on track.

I have really scored quite a few Classical and New Age albums at the thrifts lately, and my soul is being stroked nicely:rolleyes:, Chuck

.........oh, I found a great sourcs of dbx encoded LP's (over seas) and am negotiating on a Joan Baez, never opened album.

I have a problem with this! My turntable is not the greatest and I know next to nothing about 'wear and tear' of records and I know I'm going to be aprehensive about ruining a vintage, collectable prize......

I'm sure I'll be buying more from these guys and I need to tutored in the right direction on what to do.

I know I really should be using better equipment, but I was lucky to get the $35 for the Dual 1225. Do you think I should try to come up with a better TT?

What would be a good conservative choice?

I think I'll paste this to TT's :o, Chuck

yeah! NPR classical is my favorite musical experience...:) probably because I like my FM tuner so much. I tuned into Spokane NPR for 10 years and now Boise State for the last 9:D gosh how time flies! Both stations were/are about 60 miles away from my indoor diapole antennas. I should have a crystal tuner because my dial never varies.
