C'mon guys, join me in tube audio! I've got a Fisher 800C and a 500C. Just missed on a 400 today. That would have completed my collection of the last run of Fisher tube receivers. (if you don't count the extremely rare 1800)

I've never owned any tube audio gear, but someday I will!

As kid I fixed so many tube devices I can still remember most of the common tube numbers and cross to industrial numbers. Have boxes full of tubes in the attic along with a couple tube testers.

I started out this stuff with tubed Harnon Kardon Citation Integrated Amps. Seems like I always had changing tube parameter probs. One channel weaker etc. Sometime just wondering for periods of time before checking the tubes.:(

I still have tubed test equipment with the same issues.:(

Same with my tubed Viking R2R. Once I switched to vintage SS 70's Japanese gear I've never had any desire to go back. The little tanks with discrete output transistors just keep on running

I know I need to probably switch some caps, but nothing noticeable yet (although I do have a siver faced SU 8600 Technics that is having a channel issue......probably a D Oxit thing. Hope:)

I am going to upgrade my T0-3's this winter with some super upgrades just because it seems like the thing to do:rolleyes:, regards Chuck
