I remember as a kid getting K-tel records for my birthday or Christmas. I always really liked those due to the variety of hits they contained. Now days I know the K-Tel vinyl was made on the cheap, at least in the late 70's and into the 80's. But its still hard to beat the great variety of music. Yesterday while at a thrift store, I came across another K-Tel album, Pure Gold Collection Vol I. Its got some nice songs and is from 1977. I have a spreadsheet on my computer to track my vinyl albums and I see I now have 31 K-Tel albums. The oldest are 1971's 20 Explosive Hits and 20 Power Hits. The newest are 1984's Formula and Masters of Metal. Guess its the nostalgia that keeps me buying these records. But they are fun :)
