Nice you've had KR-4070s and a KR-4010.
The KR-4070 was built from '77-'79 and the KR-4010 was built from '79-'81.

yes, I remember frying my KR-4010, I put a real high rated fuse in it, not knowing that it would fry it, I than used it to record off the radio, (Just the record out) as my KR-4070 would not get stereo sound in

Ok, here is my very short list of Kenny, but hoping for more in the near future.
KA-6004 Int Amp, its gone unfortunately
Basic C-1 preamp, using it with a Yamaha M-50 power amp
EQ GE-528 graphic Eq which is used in the main system.
KR-5150 receiver, it sounds real nice and I got the bulbs replaced and using it to power some KLH Model 17's
Ok, thats all for now.

Sure do! I've had in the past, a Kenwood Trio model 11 and a KR 8600, both in very nice shape, but just plain friggin' huge! The KR 8600 was bigger than our king size bed, so it went to ebay along with the model 11. I also had the Kenwood spinoff that weighed 55 pounds and was really impressed with that amp. I'm getting another one day......

Hi music in a bottle!
Nice kenwood gear you've had, but let me correct you on something. Their was no KR-8600, only the TOTL KR-9600 that put out 160wpc at 8ohms.

Just gonna add to my list of kenwood gear. Just got a KA-6000 with the original box and manual!
Was their TOTL amp from 1968 to 1970. This amp is very good! Has 2 set-screws per knob on ALL the knobs! This amp is over-built!
If you ever get one, and it sounds noisey with the volume all the way down it has to have 4 transistors replaced on the main-power board. The 4 transistors that you replaced were known to create noise. So if you ever get one just do a search on google and you'll find the fix for it.
