I've been down this past week. Troubles with my company and stuff like that. Anyway, Thursday is 25% day with your special card at Unique. So me and the girlfriend stop in. I go back to the electronics section and see a guy looking at the back of a vintage reciever. Darn, I'm too late. How well I'll still have a look. I see a silver faced reciever and think, Humm, lets see if this dude moves on and leaves both. Well he takes the one he is looking at. grab the Technics and go plug it in. It all lights up, Great!! I turn the tuning knob and see the F.M. meter flinch, but the signal strenth meters doesnt move. I do see the F.M. stereo light come on. Its priced dirt cheap and pretty heavy. So I walk over to the speaker area and see the usual rack system speakers. The guy that took the other receiver is here hooking up his find to a small speaker. I can now see its a Kenwood. Then I look down by his feet and see some interesting speakers. Figure I'll wait (Again) So I sit down the Technics on this other speaker. I look down at it and froze:eek: Its a set of Realistic Mach 1's!!!! and they are the better models 40-4024A's!!! My girlfriend is now standing next to me. I tell her to grab a 2 carts, QUICK!! She does and we are caravaning it to the register. The other guy follows us and takes a look at the Technics price tag. He says, its the same price. I said yeah, they are. He says his is better. I asked to see the model and it was a KR-3600. I told him that it was real nice and he said yes it is and walked off. Come to find out the Technics is an SA-5370 that is from 1977 and is rated at 48wpc. Sweet:) Here they are. I will say I got them insanely cheap. I will be cleaning them up and seeing if they work.
I am in a much better mood:)
