Does anyone have any experience hooking up another set of speakers to this receiver? It has speaker a and b on the front but it seems that only one set can be used at a time.
Can you hook up and use 4 speakers with this receiver? Thanks

If and when you run two sets of speakers (with any amp) you run at 1/2 the impedance (approximate depending on the individual speaker ohms). This is never a great idea especially in amps not designed for 4 ohm output. The current equasion is ...................amps= volts/impedance. Also Amps=the square root of Power/Impedance.
As you can see, if you hook (2) 8 ohm speakers together (in parallel) you must double the current in your ouput transistors for the same sound (power). Chuck

I have a KR-4070, which is basically the same layout, but less wpc, it has a selector for A, B and both A/B.. But like Chuck says about 1/2 the impedance..
