Hard to tell how rare it is without a model. SuperBeta means it has an increased luminance signal for higher resolution, which was introduced in 1985 and became standard on nearly all models after that.

The SuperBeta/Hi-Fi series generally included the best models Sony made. Any of those other than maybe the most basic (SL-HF400 and similar) would be a good deal for $95, provided it works. IMO the price is too high if it's not also hi-fi stereo.
