Founded by Namihei Odaira as an electrical repair shop. Succeeded in manufacturing three 5hp (3.6775 kW) electric motors as the company first products. Hitachi not only manufactured electronics they manufactured many types of products including parts for electronics, such as capacitors chips etc.
