Magnavox VHS Hi-Fi VCR model
VR9560AT01. Short model numbers used, VR9560 or VR-9560. One of the many high quality Panasonic made VHS VCRS from the
mid 1980s. Dated July 24, 1986. Slightly newer look from the previous 1984 -
85 models. Features, TV stereo, able to pick up stereo broadcasts, multi-function wireless remote control, direct drive capstan motor, auto
rewind, noiseless slow motion with tracking, tape window on the top, tape
compartment light, centralized function display,
which displays Stop, Play Rew, FF, and more, electronic tape counter, tape
remaining indicator, switch from tape counter to tape remaining time, double
speed playback without sound, recording and playback in all three SP, LP,
and EP modes, cable ready tuner, 8 event 21 day timer, 4 heads. These VCRS were slightly ahead of the times in that era. The
function display being one of the best features. Many versions/manufactured
brands under Panasonic, of these VCRS were being produced in that time. Neat
VCR!
Common Problems:
Power supply. The symptoms will start with many different malfunctions. To
name a few, front display/clock/counter/functions starts to become dim in
areas, eventually going out completely, VCR does not power on, distorted
picture during playback. Power supply kits are available for most of these Panasonic made VCRS at
