Company History with VHS VCRS:

Sanyo began to market VHS VCRS under the Fisher name in the early 1980s, as Sanyo manufactured their own line of reliable Beta VCRS called the Betacord. In the late 1980s when Beta lost to the VHS format, Sanyo began to market VHS VCRS under their name.
